O6FA 2006 game rules
(Rules will continue to be changed and modified until the season kicks-off)

The Ohio Sixman Football Association plays by OHSAA rules with the following variations:

1. Field is 40x80 yards vs. 50x100

2. 15 yards for a first down

3. All players are eligible receivers

4 . There must be a 'clean exchange' of the football. The quarterback must hand off, pitch or throw the ball before it can cross the line of scrimmage.

5 . Field goal is worth 4pts, kicked PAT is 2pts and a run/pass PAT is 1 pt.

6 . If at any point after halftime, a team leads by 45 points or more, the game is over.

7. The Goal posts are 25 feet apart and the crossbar is 9 feet above the ground.

8. No blocking below the waist at any time. The center cannot be blocked from the front or head-on while his head is down, Violation: 15 yard penalty, player ejection. (recreational leagues only)

9. No crack-Back blocks allowed, Violation: 15 yard penalty, player ejection. (recreational leagues only)

10. Defensive Rush on Kicks: Defenders may rush from the outside on punts. Defenders may not rush from the outside on Field goal and P.A.T. attempts.
Defender may not line up in the inside position, then loop to the outside to rush.  If a Kicker drops kick, Defense may rush from anywhere and may it the kicker.

11. Unnecessary hit on receiver: A defender may not hit a receiver if a ball is thrown in such a manner that it could not be caught by a receiver. It is a 15 yard penalty, an ejection for the rest of that game.
